@nudelpudding It should only be "unknown", not "unknown unknown", for future reference.

Shouldn't the surname "CS_Car" be deleted because it's only the car's file name? (CS probably stands for "cutscene")

Delete the sure name and front shot. (It's taken in some kind of 3D Modelling program.)

Some sort of Mercedes I think.

I took the front shot in 3ds max because there isn't a front shot in game, it only appears during the intro and the only part that is shown is the interior and rear.

Surname and "unknown unknown" were my mistake, but the front shot should stay because there's no other way to identify it.

Take out the front shot. We can't keep a picture that wasn't even taken in the game!

Do you determine who someone is by looking at their ass? Hold the phone, Solid Snake.

The car is from the game, I don't see what the problem is? How can we even determine what make it's based on if the only picture we have is a rear one.

A rear that looks pretty much identical to about 2 other cars from this game (The Fairmont and Bonneville).

And since the car is only visible in the rear during the cutscene, how can we even say what it is?

Burn Rubber US (346)

We have stated before on IGCD that if the picture wasn't taken from the real game and was taken from another game as a mod or anything else, It wasn't valid.

Admin delete second picture please?

I think this is an Admiral from GTA VC.

As you have no other choice than a front shot via 3D program, this front shot is totally fine.

Burn Rubber, stop being retarded. This front shot or no front shot at all, do you understand this?

Then use no front shot at all!

What happened to the "no you can't use pictures taken outside the game" thing?

I think this shot would be fine in comments just for "identifying help". This is not a 3ds max cars database so it shouldn't be uploaded as the other view :p

Like how sometimes people posted texture maps in comments to ID cars? I can agree.

Either way, That shot has to go.

It's not the same at all, although I do think it is a stylization of another Mercedes Benz.

Or at least the front, the rear looks like a fucked up Fairmont rear. Then again like I said, they didn't take too many liberties when designing the backs of these cars, they all seem very generic.

Anyways, the front does sort of look like a boxier MBenz W115, even the rear sort of fits.

upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/01/Mercedes-Benz_W115_220D_%281973%29.jpg/1920px-Mercedes-Benz_W115_220D_%281973%29.jpg

upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a1/Mercedes-Benz_W115_rear_20080816.jpg

I'll change it to W115. If anyone manages to find something that fits more, I'll update the entry.

In the comments the pics will get lost over time, it happened so many times already.

Better than having it on the main page where it doesn't belong.

Better loosing it and being unable to re-identifying it in future if needed, so?

Well it's not like there's HUNDEREDS of comments for it to get lost in! I really don't see your statement being true. :/

Just edit the 4th comment from the top to feature this picture and remove it from the alternative view. Everyone with the slightest bit of competence should be able to find it there.
I will also add a rule to prevent this kind of conflict from happening again.

Image uploading websites often erase old uploaded pics over time. If the pic stays as a provided entry, it will never get lost unless IGCD will go offline one day.

But what use is the picture after the car has been identified? Does it really matter?

Automotive Gaming IT (32)

Discussions about identifications and future re-identifications here on IGCD are a regular thing, don't you know that?

I do know thank you, you're acting as if the picture will disappear within a week.

Automotive Gaming IT (32)

A week or 5 years, it will disappear sooner or later

Burn Rubber US (346)

2016-09-01 22:38

Like it will take 5 years to identify?

Automotive Gaming IT (32)

2016-09-02 02:51

Like after 5 years someone will arrive and say << this is not *insert car name*, it's a *insert another carname* >> and we'll have no pics because comments pics won't last

Then someone will say "We identified this car 5 years ago through a front pic which normally shouldn't be available."
You are severely exaggerating what could be a possible situation.

Not sure of the rest of it, but for some reason, the front end reminds me of a first generation Toyota Century (anywhere between 1967 and 1997).

Okay AG, you're being more stubborn than me.

Save the picture to your files. If someone come up later on and says its wrong, then pull it out and upload it to image hosting again. Done.

What!? A Toyota Century first gen? Doesn't look like it,

Or maybe second gen? Does look like it a little bit.

But second gen Toyota Century does look like it a little.I was also thinking about Rolls Royce.

Burn Rubber US (346)

Toyota Century in the US? (I think that's the game's setting)? Yeah right. W126 is probably the closest we are going to get as far as a car that exists inside the USA.

Renz203 PH (13)

I think the game is set in 70s-early 80s, so I think this is a Mercedes W116 or a Rolls Royce.

The rear looks a lot like the Ford LTD Crown Victoria.
