But as it looks, T10 and PG are basing their models on US editions as its where they pick up the cars for scanning. Even EU models are based on US releases (VW, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Lamboghini, Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Peugeot, Saab, Volvo) -- Last edit: 2016-09-01 02:46:14 |
SAJMON14 photo_librarymode_comment 2016-09-01 01:10 | It's hard to tell what origin is correct. For example we have Geo Metros with origin Japan that have almost no differences between the original Suzuki version and we have Fiat 126's and Polski Fiat versions that haven't got too much differences but have different country origins. It was easier when we still had the "Made for" thing. |
speedfreak975 photo_librarymode_comment 2016-08-31 18:44 | haha i knew you would remark on that. I think if this was WCS it might make a difference considering there is Ford europe. and Ford america and ford australia tho I'm not sure here it does. Plus if we did lookbon the indicators of this car.....we'd have to relook almost every entry of similar status |
speedfreak975 photo_librarymode_comment 2016-08-31 18:29 | i dont know man , manufacturers these days have EU and US versions of everything so should we really focus on it or on the general because i remember when I had the fight about the Ford GT, i think someone recalled origin indicates the family's origin.( in this example the focus family) (though not sure) -- Last edit: 2016-08-31 18:34:38 |
speedfreak975 photo_librarymode_comment 2016-08-31 18:20 | all this car entries have falled under German, im not saying US is wrong but german also isnt wrong and unity among all enteries is better. @automotiveGaming as much as i agree with your proof i think the website means by origin as model (FOCUS) in general regardless of generation....yet again i still find origin on this website confusing because literal wise many entries would have other origibs -- Last edit: 2016-08-31 18:26:37 |
sajmon14 photo_librarymode_comment 2016-08-31 18:04 | I'd use German (or European) origin here |
Desscythe17 photo_librarymode_comment 2016-08-31 15:48 | Either origin is fine. Ford is an American company and the Focus is a global car. So I think American origin would take preference. |
Zordid photo_librarymode_comment 2016-08-31 15:45 | I would list it as american, going after the origins of the brand -- Last edit: 2016-08-31 15:46:10 |
Speedevil photo_librarymode_comment 2016-08-31 15:43 | speedfreak975 wrote the focus was originally designed for the european market as a substitute for the escort designed for Europe made in Germany just like fiesta and escort and more. the Fords that origin from America are actually a few However the 3rd gen Focus is sold in America too (instead of the previous ones which had a different car sold under the same name there), and is manufactured both in Germany and in the US. So, should it really be listed as German? -- Last edit: 2016-08-31 15:44:22 |
