Well IMCDb say it's based off a 1979 Oldsmobile 98 www.imcdb.org/vehicle_323150-Oldsmobile-Ninety-Eight-1979.html

I'm not really seeing a whole lot of similarities between this car and the Bonneville, aside from the boxy design. I feel as though when they were designing Moe's car, they were going for "basic, nondescript beater from the malaise era." But, if I had to assign one car to Moe's sedan, it would be the 1977 - 1979 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight.

^ This one's green and everything! To go into further detail, the grille and front bumper are both rather generic. However, the quad headlights with the turn signals that flank the sides and undersides of the headlights are quite similar to the late '70s Olds Ninety-Eight.

Furthermore, with those thin, vertical taillights, the rear of Moe's sedan is nearly identical to the rear of the 1980 - 1984 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight, the only discrepancy being the reverse lights.

To add to that, the late '70s models had a similar taillight cluster as well. It's just that the early '80s rear end design seems a tad more similar to Moe's sedan, but they're both pretty close.

In the episode where Homer "steals" Apu's car (this one) so Apu can get insurance, you can clearly make out the Pontiac badge and grille.

I feel out of the current suggestions it looks the closest, unless you have a better suggestion? (Which I'm hoping you do, because we're always looking on how to improve things here :) )
