This generation of Legacy was launched in the US in 2004 for the 2005 model year, but it went on sale in May 2003 in Japan. Japan doesn't use the North American model year system, so technically, the launch versions of this car were 2003 rather than 2004 models.

There are also several differences between the US and Japanese-spec Legacies: the bumpers, the lights... Even the engines were difference, with the US Legacies receiving a 2.5-litre turbocharged flat-four rather than the Japanese 2-litre one.

2019-02-03 21:55		This is a JDM Legacy, not a North American version, so the model year should be 2003.
