If you took a cab or got arrested in the 1990s, there's a high chance you ended up in the back of a Vapid Stanier. Discontinued following widespread reports of fuel tanks exploding on impact in rear-end collisions. So try to avoid that

The latest update for the game adds this and a number of other cars to southernsanandreassuperautos.com in GTA Online, and the description directly references the fuel tank controversy of the 90's and 2000's models, the difference being that in-game, the controversy ended up causing the car's discontinuation, where in real life, the Crown Victoria continued until 2011.

It's funny how it's got a 6-cylinder engine.

One of my favorite cars in the game, I dont like those stock wheels though. Also its weird that the c-pillar is black while the b-pillar is painted, no idea how someone could miss that.

Welp, probably R* noticed that GTA fans want a civilan CV in their game, and R* give this. Shame the "Minivan" style wheel makes the car very weird :/

You can mod the wheels

Not removed, but modified. Now is a civilian vehicle. The '98 CV equivalent is now one of the police cars.

I think it will not appear in the game, because it's only the GTA IV version retextured, they just made this for the trailer, but will use the other version as the police cruiser

We don't know yet. R* probably used GTA IV model with new texture as a placeholder, but we should wait for full version to confirm it. We may get 4 types of squad cars (old CV, new CV, Impala and Charger)

I know. Rockstar, give us a freaking new Crown Vic!

It would be great if they had the GTA IV Cabs, and Patrol cars along with newer ones, like in the DLCs with the old, and new Schafter

Let's hope it's just a placeholder until Rockstar makes a second-gen Crown Vic.

But the Police Cruiser in GTA IV is a 1992

.....That's before the year was changed, but in my opinion it looks like a 1995-1997, or atleast a 1993-1994, the 1992 Is similar, but has no grille. I think these are 1993-1997s' like GTA IV-era's Patrol Cars. Plus the license plate placement is on the trunk-back, like the 1993-1994, and 1995-1997s.

The rear looks most like a Taurus to me. I'd still say it was definitely meant to be a CV though.

Differnt livery for every city I guess...And a Landstalker for the rural zones...
