Now that I see the better image, it seems more like a fusion of at least 3 different vehicles. A fusion of the Venture, S-10 Blazer, and the new (at the time) TrailBlazer, perhaps with a little GMC Envoy (headlights) and miniscule parts Ford Windstar and Honda Odyssey (first generation) as well.

No way can it be a 1K Golf/Jetta. They weren't introduced until October 2003.
