Wat.
Rear fenders on the 2000 are round-these are square, like the '05-'07.
Plus-who cares about the interior? Exterior is what counts.
Grill+lights are off a Sierra, main body is '05-'07 Tacoma. Nuff said.

You have to look at it from the perspective of the game's setting. The game is set in late 2001 - early 2002 (the missions in which this truck shows up in is from late 2001).

This, by default, makes the 2005 Toyota Tacoma anachronistic, the interior does not even match an '05 Tacoma, however it matches the 2000 model year Tacoma almost exactly. Plus, look at the rear wheel wells of the truck. It matches the 2000 Tacoma, but NOT the 2005 Tacoma.

Right vehicle, wrong year. The correct one is 2000.

rmp91: yeah it might look stupid to have a 2001 mission with cars from future, but what if I would make a game set in 80's and put a 2012 car there? Developers can do everything

It's obviously an '05-'07. Look at the fender shape & ribbed grill. It's hilariously obvious.

@Sajmon14: Yes, the game WAS made in 2010, however the game's setting is based on real life events and accounts from the beginning of the War in Afghanistan in late 2001 - early 2002. Look up Operation Anaconda and the Battle of Robert's Ridge and you'll see the similarities. That being said, that makes an '06+ GMC Sierra anachronistic to the game's settings. Also, the interior layout is IDENTICAL to that of a '00 Toyota Tacoma with a manual transmission, it has absolutely NO similarities to the GMC in any way. There's also pictures of American Special Operations forces using Tacomas in Afghanistan (and later Iraq), so this just gives more evidence that this truck is indeed a Tacoma.

@lcpdcv: It is a Tacoma, but it's 1 generation older than the 2005-2007.

@carcrasher88: The screenshot above makes the grill hard to make out because the truck is white against the sunlight. But I just going on what I know about the interior that I identify it as a 2000 Toyota Tacoma with a manual transmission.

Grille does look like the Sierra, but the overall body looks like an 05+ Tacoma to me as well.

I'd say it's a 2005-2007 Tacoma.

But the game was made in 2010 so they could do any car they want

This is a 2000 Toyota Tacoma. The interior layout is a dead giveaway, especially the instrument cluster and steering wheel. Since when do Sierras have 2-spoke steering wheels, or for that matter a manual transmission?

You can see the interior in the beginning of the first and second missions of the game.

Plus, this game took place in late 2001 - early 2002 (based on Operation Anaconda and The Battle of Robert's Ridge in the War in Afghanistan), meaning there's no way that this truck could be an '06 GMC Sierra Crew Cab. If that were the case, this would make the truck anachronistic to the game's setting.

The body resembles a 2003+ GMC Sierra:
