When you go to the GTA Fandom Wiki on Asbo, the design info will say that the Asbo is based on the Vauxhall Corsa C, thus Opel makes the same cars as Vauxhall

Can I point out that literally every car in this game is lhd. Including a Nissan Skyline, an Australian Ford Falcon, an Aston Matin V8 Vantage from the 70s. So this thing being lhd idoes not matter in the slightest.

The name matters way less than the 3D model design.

The name and description of the car clearly refers to the british Vauxhall Corsa (not the Opel or Chevrolet counterparts).

Should we name the car according to the model which is based on (Vauxhall) or the one that most resembles (Opel cause is the original manufacturer and is LHD)?

Why is that Rockstar logic, it's their own world, they can do anything they want with it with how cars are sold. They don't have to follow the real world's version of events

The Vauxhall Corsa used to be a popular car in the UK for teenage drivers who cheaply modified their vehicle.

'Asbo' in the UK is abbreviated slang for 'Anti Social Behaviour Order' this is something that may be served by Police to youths causing disturbance on the streets.

I think its based on the British Vauxhall Corsa.

+ 1 ,cos if they want call that thing opel, they must chose more german name. For me Maxxwell it's a reference to Vauxhall.

This car more like a Corsa than a Celta. Also, what valera meant was that it just could be a Chevrolet branded, but since it's not a Declasse, it's more likely to be a Vauxhall or Opel.

Good point valera. I Think it should change the name to Chevrolet Celta. It's really much closer in looks to that one.

judging the fact that its name sounds British and Rockstar Games is located in the UK (or only has a studio there), I'm pretty sure they had the Vauxhall in mind, and not its Opel counterpart

Because I figured some body panels painted random colours wouldn't be that much of an issue. I was going to paint it teal originally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Correct, the car doesn't come stock with that livery.

First of all, in real life it's not a livery. VW made these "Harlekin" versions of some of their cars using parts with different paints.

Then, about Brazil, it has nothing to do with it, at least for the Golf Mk3. These Harlekin versions have been sold in Europe and North America for sure, but not in Brasil.

"Infelizmente, nunca foi encontrado nenhum exemplar verdadeiro do Golf Harlequin no Brasil, porém, três réplicas foram feitas e andam em terras Tupiniquins"

Every car in GTA V is lhd. I think it's meant to be the Vauxhall. Heck it's company is called "Maxwell" which is unique to this and one other british car in the game. Also Asbo is british slang.
