What?! There's still production after 2008?

Production of the Crown Vic stopped in 2011.

That's a pretty nice looking livery.

Wait, if it's recycled from the previous game. Wouldn't it be a 2008 model?

TheGreaser US (97)

It ain't going to be playable, and it never has since Hot Pursuit 2010.
EDIT: Stupid me.

2010 was Hot Pursuit, and CVPI was playable in that game

Since when do most people mix up most wanted, and hot pursuit?

Because it's not going to be playable. As I said before, it hasn't been playable since HP2010.

Just so you know the way you word "since" in that sentence implies HP2010 was the first game not to have a playable Crown Victoria.

It's Fault of EA and NFS Team. They Should Make Crown Vic a Playable Police Car In Both of Payback and Heat.

Be the Cop mode nowadays can only be found in HP style games. Which EA will maybe bring back if the Blackbox mega mix Heat flops hard

It's Fault of EA and NFS Team For Not Making Crown Vic a Playable Vehicle In NFS Heat.

Isn't That Right?

should we add the night time version of this car in a separate entry or nah?

I think it's necessary to get the night versions of the cars.

Is there a real city uses different decorations on specific police vehicles whether it's day or night?

All the time, unless it's sometimes a mission.

We said liveries don't qualify to register as separate entries. Did you forget?

Yeah, it would only qualify if the game counted the other livery as a separate vehicle, right?

Which, given that the Task Force version only appears at night time, it might be actually a separate vehicle. I wonder if someone will end up accessing in-game code and potentially confirming that...

TheGreaser US (97)

2019-11-13 01:19

It should. That's like saying convertible variants of an unlicensed vehicle shouldn't be listed, or a flatbed component.

I'd say that we should add them. We have all the variants of the Rivals police cars, so it would only make sense to add the day/night variants of the Heat ones.

no

Mmh we clearly agreed to list cars as they are, disregarding files structures. It's a game car database, not file browser. Livery don't qualify; esthetic variants do as long as they constitute a car on their own, e.g. different spoilers options won't be listed but an official bodykit or spec car variant yes
@Konkordski : asking for playable cop car is still a legit wish. What makes it so wrong to you?

Actually livery DOES qualify, similar to how Midnight Club 3 had their Impala cop and taxi liveries for the three cities.
The official (keyword: OFFICIAL) rules do not say "Do not post the same vehicle that has just a different livery", or anything else.

That's the thing though - Liveries are liveries, and it technically qualifies, if the game's files show that they are different vehicles (as in separate entries). I mean, literally, what is there to discuss? Saying liveries are forbidden is like implementing a COPPA rule. I find it having no value and it's pointless unless the official rules say otherwise, which is 100% NOT happening.

So, should the night versions of the police cars you've suggested in NFS: Heat are allowed? Take a wild guess - the answer... is....

Long run, YES.
Short run, hard yes.

Just my 2 cents. We should never speak of this again.
