Vehicle's first year is 1996. Since the game is from 1997, this must be a '96.

It looks like a more modern car! In GTA London there are also some E-Types, and they look a bit different! But it uses the same graphic engine! So if they meant to be the same cars, they should look almost identic ( The ones in GTA London are clearly E-Types )!

looks more like the older xk, because the hood buldge is stright insted of ending in a curve like the e-type, also the e-type headlights would be much clearer, like the vertion in gta lodon, heres a pic of a 1998 jaguar xk images04.olx.com/ui/1/08/41/1480741_1.jpg

The headlights aren't well visible, but yes, it must be Jaguar E-type.
