Speedfreak, that's very well said, I don't think I can do any better either, so if there is some critics abiut the lack of cars knowledge from the companies, I mostly tend to keep this opinion of mine to myself, because it's possible the company had to deal with issues here and there, but what's more important is that we should be thankful we have games like Forza and GT

Games without competition from other developers is boring, I think this motivates both companies to work harder on their games aside from some mistakes they've done on their games

could you not judge the developers simply as inefficient or uneducated or simply for the money because that is bullshit...you dont know sometimes the legal things companies have to undergo for your pleasure not just forza. after all car companies can be assholes. you cant expect any developer to please every person on the planet...im just glad we have a game like horizon 3 and gt spprt because new racing games are kind of shitty. that my point of view im not a fan on how people critique some games because i doubt you can do any better. plus when it comes to mislabeling cars all games have done it.....it happens . the w motors is labeled as UAE eventhough it isnt. i should be offended by that....but i dont mind. the company just moved there later on to expand . you cant get everything right

This is the first time i've heard that... Let me guess, has it something to do with the global naming strategy of VW? ;)

Maybe. We'll never know because they aren't allowed to disclose that.

I find it quite pathetic to be honest...

Before the launch of FH3 Turn10 emphasized how much they care about the australian car culture and then they include an Gen-F Malloo and lable it as a Gen-F2... I mean quite a lot of cars in recent Forza games have the wrong model year on it. The Lykan Hypersport was labled as a 2016 in FM6 and in FH3 despite the fact that they were only produced until 2015 because only 7 were build, the Audi RS6 Avant in FH2 was labled as a 2015 model despite being a pre-facelift...

That and the fact that they're just changing vital parts on the cars or even remove whole brands from the game without even telling us why tells me that they couldn't care less about the game

Removing VW isn't their fault, you know... It's licensing issues.

Not to be I am hating Forza here are some other samples (I mean Forza is great game, i spent half of my monthly earnings for Ultimate Edition of Horizon 3)
I can't find what was wrong in Gran Turismo
We still don't know if it's 442 or 443

When we, bunch of guys talking about cars and adding pictures, knows this things better than people who are paid for their jobs...

No one said that they need to work for free.
Ok for older cars to miss some information (but true car lover would not, they should do some research, they have 400 employees in Turn 10 and Playground combined)
But for new car it's so 'hard' to get true information I have no comment.
2016? You can go to HSV site and see that new car looks different.

That doesn't change the fact, that they are making games for money, just like any other manufacturer in real life world. They are not making games for fun, or because they are bored.

Of course, they're not going to work for free.

That's absolutely not true, there are a lot of game genres that sell more than racing games. They're not making racing games for money only.

Besides, the car is still a '65 GTO, and that implies that it's a Tempest.

We already had discussion about this on some page.
Turn 10, Polyphony Digital and other racing game developers are in this because of money. Their car knowledge is...low :)

Polyphony? They're one of the only ones I can think of.

But if they don't make car games, then who else will? Hmmm

I like both but why did they just call it GTO? 1966 was the first model year of the GTO, before that it was just an upgrade to the Tempest. Anyone who cares about car history can tell you that.....

Once again, nice research Turn10... I kinda get the feeling that they don't really care about what they're doing

It should have been featured with last month's DLC, because a clue they associated with another car should have been associated with this one. The clue was:

Sometimes winning makes for strange bedfellows.

It has been a while for this one! Hoping to see more FM4 content...but hopefully not as DLC.
