Despite being dated, I have always liked this game and prefer it to its sequel. Midtown Madness 2 went a bit more over the top, especially with crash physics as the cars just bounced out of your way, although the original had fewer cars. A classic.

Yeah, I liked MM1. It was my introduction into the world of internet forums and chat. There was a lot of add-ons available for download for this game. I even made a few. Awesome game in its heyday. I didn't really like the sequel either. The physics was just too weird in MM2.

These screenshots are from MM2??? The MM3 crashes were even more crazy, hit a car with a car and it goes flying. Drive a bus into a group of cars and its like something from the Matrix Reloaded.

Don't put downloadable cars, they are made by fans, not Microsoft.

As talking about beta/unused cars in Midtown Madness 2's page, Midtown Madness: Chicago Edition is having one special and unused vehicle, it's an yellow Monster Truck. It is a left-over vehicle in the Trial version of the game, which with additional info files can be put in-game easily. I will not submit it as vehicle here, but will post pictures of this secret vehicle soon.

There was also a vehicle used as a sample in a Vehicle Creation Kit, made by game developers, dunno if it should be listed. Btw I've added map pictures for all Midtown Madness games

Added the Red Rocket

Speedevil BE (93)

2016-04-17 16:16

Why did the traffic cars become playable? Also the Red Rocket isn't available in a vanilla game so it should be removed.

sajmon14 PL (234)

they are playable with a cheat

Plus the Red Rocket came with the official VCK by Angel Studios so it should stay here, it's a downloadable car ;)
