Die Hard Trilogy was something of a bargain when it was released back in 1996. Spanning each respective Die Hard movie and a number of different game genres, it included three different, quality games on one disc, which was an impressive and unique feat for its time. The genres were divided as follows:

Die Hard - A straight forward but enjoyable third person shooter, in which you play as McClane infiltrating the Nakatomi Plaza. Whilst fairly simple and linear, it proved to be addictive to hunt down every last terrorist, rescue every hostage and disarm every bomb at the end of each level.

Die Hard 2: Die Harder - Unlike the movie trilogy, this was arguably the best game of the games on offer and played as a first person light gun shooter, in a similar vein to that of Time Crisis. The environmental destruction was very impressive indeed for 1996 (you could even shoot individual tiles off of roofs), but was also nicely gory in places. Shoot a terorist in the face with a rocket launcher, and you may find the skeleton remains cocooned in a pool of blood.

Die Hard With A Vengence - My personal favourite movie, but this was the weakest of all 3 games. This was a driving game whereby your objective was to disarm bombs which were littered across the city. As simple as this sounds, it proved to be frustratingly difficult since you were constantly against the clock. Add some sloppy driving physics into the game (although the instant shoulder button triggered power slides were a novelty), and you have one of the most infuriating driving games I have ever played.

Despite the letdown of the driving portions of the game, Die Hard Trilogy was certainly a blast to play at the time, with its bloodbath inducing shooting action and superb explosions.

A sequel was also produced, entitled Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas.

Yippee ki ay!

There are also still some bonus vehicles left to add - could anyone who has played this game possibly offer some advice on how to find them?

The page should now be complete :)

The limo from the original Die Hard is also briefly seen during the main menu of Die Hard:

Since it is not using the game engine, and is composited through the use of additional CGI, I was debating whether or not to add it to the page. Have your say on vehicles in CGI cut scenes on the forum.

Used to love cheating to turn off the time limit on number 3 and just burning around the city, GTA3 before there was GTA3! (just with almost all the features removed, oh well you could run over people)
