I plan to get this game very soon so new images will follow, if it's ok to have this game here?

Yes, why not? Not exactly the most enticing of game titles I have ever seen though

By the way, a few of this games vehicles are taken straight from World Racing without any changes. There is a Mitsubishi MPV and a Transit van that are identical to the ones on World Racing, which is interesting....

This car is visible in the game without change: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=4890
This too: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=4881
And this: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=4885
This as well... www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=4887
Also this... www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=4883
And finally this: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=4888

That is strange, as the games are made by two completely different people :??:

You can clearly see the Mitsubishi that CrazyCars mentioned in this screenshot from the official website lol (along with the Cadillac and the Dodge Intrepid)

does seem like a rather strange thing to happen

Thanks for that picture, i'll use it for that Eagle page (it's listed as Eagle Summit on the World Racing page)

Do you think i should email shipsim and ask them about it?

There are also some cars that weren't featured in World Racing, like the Fiat Panda, the Suzuki Alto and the Corsa.

no problem ;)

I just thought, whoever get's this game could take advantage of it's 'walk around' feature - hopefully you can walk right up to the cars to get a better shot of each one. If not, the game should at least allow you to walk on the part of the deck above the vehicles (could still get better screenshots that way)

The ferry that carries my mail has been delayed by a protest so the game will probably come next week. I know about the walking feature, a great idea and i also know that you can walk on the car deck, which will help.

And i have also recieved an e-mail about the car question, from one of the games workers:

He says " can assure you that none of our in-game models are taken from other games.

The cars in Ship Simulator 2008 are definately made by ourselves. Of
course, modelling cars that are so low-poly that they are used in
scenery or on the deck of ship, can look quite similar."

I actually find that hard to believe, as the cars are in the same colour, and are the same make

If that's true then the Catera willbe a European Vauxhall/Opel Omega

CrazyCars EN (13)

I don't believe that e-mail in any way, the car is clearly a Catera, exactly the same as the world racing car, with no changes at all

New images. Unfortunately you cannot walk on the car deck to get better pictures so i stood on the top deck and zoomed in using the binoculars feature.

and it turns out that the developers of World Racing bought the unplayable cars featured in the game, so VSTEP probably bought them too.

World Racing 2 has exactly the same Panda, but it isn't listed, and that Corsa is very similar to www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=1784
