After I saw the trailer and spotted these hatchbacks, I was like yeah right, these Asian/European/American hatch's would definitely survive apocalypse :D

This looks really good, the post-apocalypse setting really suits the irreverent nonsense of Far Cry better than an attempt at real America.

Also like the hatchbacks. In a real apocalypse, I'd choose a Prius. Toyota reliability, common, ease of maintenance, electric motor so you can power it with solar/wind if fuel runs out. Good luck fuelling and maintaining some ultra-rare dune buggy in the apocalypse.

Ease of maintenance and hybrid/electric car don't go in same sentence.
First gen Priuses are now regular visitors to scrap yard and it was out, for what only 20 years...

Yeah, but it's not too hard to replace the batteries in a Prius. Also, it shares many components with normal Toyota models, so it won't be as difficult to find parts for as some cars. But I don't actually know that much about the Prius anyway; some say it's as reliable as any Toyota, but others say it's significantly less reliable. My logic was that fuel efficiency and ease of maintenance (mainly by the car being common, making parts easier to scavenge in a post-apocalypse setting) would be the best attributes for a post-apocalypse car. I always found it silly that in movies like mad max everyone drives vintage hotrods and rare buggies and the like. Doubt that would be the case in real life.

That's because they can last for 100 years. V8 with big displacement and let say 150-200hp will have 50-60 years longer life then Inline 4 2.0, or any engine with turbo or supercharger. Also where would you find batteries for Prius, or who will made new batteries in apocalypse ;)

No one cares. It's just a game.

Everyone should ignore him for all eternity.

Apart from the fact it crashed so much it bricked my ps4 and I had to reformat it (although I think the grand tour game also had a hand in ruining my console), it's pretty good. Unlike say Blood Dragon, Primal or Far Cry 5's dlc which just felt like glorified dlc this feels like a small game in the same vein as GTA episodes from Liberty City or Driveclub Bikes. I also like how unlike Blood Dragon it isn't just a big parody of post-apocalyptic films/games and instead does it's own thing even bringing back some characters from 5. Now like other ubisoft games it does have some familiar tropes but unless you're into trophy hunting it shouldn't be that big of an issue.

If there was one problem with the game it feels a bit short. I mean not for me since I did everything you could do and got the platinum but if you do enough to get the best guns you can easily blitz the main story in like 3-4 hours (although I was playing on easy), also I didn't like how the entirety of Whitetail mountains (Jacob's region from 5) is relegated to 3 main missions and that's it. However on the flip side with the expeditions you can venture outside of the map to 7 (unique?) locations that serve as outposts that pay out massive rewards for completing, those were fun to do in co-op.

I doubt we'll see a sequel to this setting but I think it would be a cool setting to return to in a future ubisoft game (since now it seems all the ubisoft games take place in the same universe, since in New Dawn you can get Sam Fisher's outfit from the splinter cell games). Although that said if you don't have this game, you might want to wait until it goes on sale as by in large at it's core it is just a reskinned 5 but with a new story and some new gameplay elements.
