What's this game about?

It's hard to explain..

It's an 2D pixelated multiplayer sandbox game. There are no goals, just an endless of worlds where you create whatever you want. Most of things in Growtopia grow on trees. Everything you get you can sell it, from cheap to expensive. Blocks, Background wallpapers, clothes, consumables, and others. You can sell them for World Locks(wl), which is the in-game currency.

The game has kind of died, I guess. there isn't much online players anymore compared when Ubisoft hasn't got hands on this game.

The community are somewhat toxic. Because a lot of kids play this game. It has gotten boring over the years.

Heres a in-game screenshot.

You can see people speak in different language, because this game is also very popular in part of Asia and many other places in the world.
You can see people saying "trd" which means trade. You sell/buy through trading.
You can see blocks/seeds in my inventory, you can grow pretty much anything. (break something to get its seed by chance)

Examples of things that grow on trees.

You build/design your own worlds. You have to choose a name for your world and make sure it is not taken.
Locks, as seen in previous screenshot, are the in-game currency and to protect worlds/items. There are a bunch of lock types. But the most useful one is the World lock, which locks an entire world, and people won't be able to break a single block unless you gave them access. Who ever puts the lock down who owns it.

There are also events and updates in game for important holiday happens. like Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick, & Chinese New Year, etc.

Are they very generic?

Yeh. I didn't think they would resemble anything. I guess 1 or 2 does.
