Hey, it will have no online DRMs, so pause button comes back! Also, the cop chases are said to be better!

AutoTracker US (117)

Apparently, the Rhino SUV from 2005's Most Wanted is also supposed to appear! :wow: I hear the map is supposed to be bigger and more diverse than 2015. And the ability to actually pause the game, as well as being able to play offline... two things which I believe haven't been seen since 2012's Most Wanted. I can't wait! :D

Speedevil BE (93)

2017-05-11 01:23

Actually, Rivals had an offline mode, but you still couldn't pause the game.
The map looks like it's set in the south-west US, I think we can expect the main city to be some kind of fake Las Vegas.

The game is said to be around 100 gbs in size ....if so they are definitely not sparing any expenses. with 3 playable characters (each has speciality) like gta5

yes the tuning system is close to THE CREW. i guess it's best way to differentiate tuning and customization for different purposes.

Cars that are found and restored also feels from FH3 but nfs might be more immersive restoration

this game surely takes alot from certain movies and games.....all im hoping is gd cop chases and physics

I think this has the potential to be great. It has a lot of what we wanted: extensive customization, an original and diverse car lineup, offline mode, day/night circle, a bigger garage, better cops, a diverse map... seems like they are actually responding to the feedback, which is good.

Yet, a lot of people are complaining because they thing there's "too much action" compared to games like Underground.

I personally think that the fans must accept some changes in order for the franchise to evolve. Games like Hot Pursuit or Most Wanted 2012, even though disliked by many, still had a fanbase. So it seems natural that they are trying to create a game that combines the best of both the classic and new NFS games.

I am totally on board with this, and I hope it's as good as it looks. Still, I really hope we get a good handling system and an interior view.

couldn't have said it any better :) , people always gravitate towards underground series but too me its not the best. MW and carbon were more diverse and better as a whole. and this has a taste of everything. lets hope it doesnt fail us on physics

stryder237 EN (3)

2017-06-03 14:07

I just hope the physics are good, as they will make or break the game, no matter how many cars it has or how large the map is. NFS 2015 had dull, boring physics that ruined the game entirely, despite its many flaws. Unfortunately, the history of EA and the NFS franchise does not fill me with hope, but the clear efforts to listen to the fanbase and improve the game is a positive sign.

I think one of the recent NFS series I liked were shift 1and 2 (some didn't like it but it was decent semi-Cade? ) the cockpit was also quite well made, also I didn't mind the newer Most wanted, it was good but not that great

I can accept some changes but I feel EA still needs to push it harder regarding their physics gameplay, nfs 2015 was big disappointment for me, you can't force someone to accept a change when physics are clearly not good so clearly can't blame some fans (btw I'm not really a fan of nfsU) , I'm not expecting something like older NFS games but I hope they can surpass my expectations and make this a very good game at least

An essentually limitless garage, that gives it an automatic one-up on 2015 (remember when we could only have 5 cars, and had to wait for a patch for them to only triple the space?).

Classic Beetle is interesting, I think the only other time that's appeared playable in a NFS title was Nitro, IIRC.

Super Builds being exclusive to the Derelicts sounds rather reasonable, if you ask me. Give them something that makes them more special.

But I hope I can still take a Golf GTI Clubsport and either give it a rally look of a pure offroader look.

Oh, and you guys also missed the Crown Victoria taxi. Couple of them show up in the wreckage outside the tunnel.

speedfreak975 LB (65)

2017-06-11 12:59

i dont know, no game can please everyone. its just ridiculous to attack a game that we barely saw anything from it. Atleast give it benefit of doubt. thing i realised different from 2015 system. widebody kits are installed separately. each fender alone. not full kits. so someone can have varis front fender and rocket bunny rear fender.

i will judge game after demo is live for the masses

The customization looks great to me, but of course people are going to complain. It's impossible to satisfy everyone. At least now we do have customization, compared to games like MW 2012 and, in my opinion, it's much better compared to previous games like Most Wanted or Carbon (games which I love).

Suchary PL (6)

2017-06-11 15:50

The people complaining are ridiculous. They wanted an Underground style game, and they got it with NFS 2015. Then they were complaining about it, even for it being set at night, just like Underground. So EA adressed every issue, and they are still complaining. You just can't win with those people. I'm so on board with this. Story driven NFS games are the best, The Run is one of my favourites and this reminds me of it a lot, plus a bit of Fast and Furious and The Crew. Sounds like a damn good combo to me!

You've got a point. However, a lot of people disliked it because of what I'd call fairly valid reasons. Mainly, the handling was not too enjoyable and it seemed like you just weren't controlling the car most times.

The customization was also lacking - many cars lacked several options, like the Volvo 240, for example.

I didn't see anyone complaining about this particular thing, but I really don't like the way the game is presented. They're trying so hard to make the game look spectacular with visual effects, film grain, gloom, motion blur, slow motion, crash cams, the camera shaking and jumping all over the place. You can hardly even make out what's going on at times, especially when the game takes your control to show you... something and making you crash in the process.

Also, there's no way to pause the game. Something that's been standard for video games since the 80s. Next gen, ladies and gentlemen...

Well, they seem to have fixed most of that in Payback. The cars don't seem to take control away from you anymore, there's a way to pause the game now, and it looks like the customization has been improved, since you can now mix and match almost everything, although there didn't seem to be that many options for most of the cars.

midnight club LA had 4 options for each part (I think) and you could create millions of different styles. ive seen alot of 350z vids by different youtubers. the combinations can make a difference.

2015 took two years of work too. But I'm pretty optimistic for this game.

Dude, chillax...the game was only first revealed like...a week or so ago, and we've hardly seen much of it yet. There will be way more cars than this, we're just adding them as they appear. It's FAR from complete.

I'm going to wait, get the game on Black Friday (digital download) on the Xbox One and then I'll come back and look at the comments.

If I see shitposts AFTER I enjoyed the fuck out of the game. I'll either; be angry for the rest of the day and the next or (worst case scenario) take a kitchen knife and stab myself (and no one likes a person contemplating suicide, don't they?).
