After a 15 year absence, the NASCAR Heat series returns as well as its developer, Monster Games. Partnering with Dusenberry-Martin, who published the most recent NASCAR game, NASCAR Heat Evolution also will mark the first outing of a NASCAR game onto current gen consoles. There is no official cover yet, as the driver on the cover will be determined by the highest finishing Toyota driver in tonight's All-Star Race. The game will release on September 13, 2016.

To be honest, why don't we list individual nascars? They are technically different cars IRL. Doesn't make sense because the cars are prepared by different teams and etc.

While i personally would prefer to list all paint schemes this would make the page just overloaded with tons of cars that are very similar.

We add all different paint schemes for Forza and Gran Turismo but not for NASCAR games. It makes me sad.

I think the big question is "is it another model or not?".

The reason why Gran Turismo has "different paint scheme listed" is actually because the car is sold as a different model, even if the main difference resides in the "extra info" box. I'm no NASCAR pro but I believe that each team has a limited choice of cars and then they only tune their car as their liking yet it's still the same model right?

The only reason why would a tuned car be listed separately from the original is when the game put this car under another name or surname (not team name though, that's different), is an unique car and clearly don't have the same stats or same category. The examples that comes to mind are Flatout 2 or maybe Need for Speed Underground if you want a game with licensed cars. Being the exact same car with only different colors and stickers is not enough imo.

The bigger teams have their own engines, but basically they are all the same cars.

Btw, while the design is just stickers, all three car makes differ in height, length and some minor aerodynamic things. The body lines are designed to look like the real ones.

The issue is that these cars individually are different. And another factor is that it should be noted that certain games may feature one or more of a certain car and their driver than another. Threfore, it should be noted that this makes these games different than another :)
