I loved the original game.

This one though... stopped reading at "mobile".

I tried to play the original game again and it just doesn't work well on Windows 8.1 (who would have known? x) ). Too bad this is a mobile game and not an overhaul of the original game.

I've sadly never gotten to play the original Re-Volt. It's like, $80 now! :(

Pretty sure it's abandonware though. You should look on the internet.

Abandonware is still illegal isn't it? :/

BTW, This game requires Progression to see the cars in color. :( so I have to unlock them first. So stay tuned.

Abadonware is a game that developer dont give a crap and it is ignoring it. On worse scenario, developer went bust. In both cases, you can download them - or would you like to pay for games from 1980s?

*1990s actually.

But I don't need my computer even more broken with a virus from trying to download Re-Volt, So I guess I'll just not play. :/

Also I have NO idea how to do that kind of thing. So... Yeah.

What's really incredible is that the community is still active.

I wanted to do example more obvious, but yeah, Re-Volt is from late 90s. And if you are downloading abadonware game from trustworthy sites, you will dont get any virus. MyAbadonware, OldCans and sites like that are trustworthy (but they dont have Revolt), and of course official site of Revolt (as Speeddevil wrote earlier) is trustworthy too.

i hate how developers went in right ahead & ruined the franchise by freemium greed crap, i have this on ios and i haven't touched this since then, the original Re-volt is more fun, i quite miss those days and i still enjoy it even till now :)

I kinda understand since the original Re-Volt was 1999, and the original's developer (Acclaim) has gone belly up, plus this was trying to "modernize" the series a bit. I still miss the original :(

As long as there are people who play sub-par games like this and pay for them, I can't really blame the devs.

With the micropayments, people often invest a lot more money in these "free" games than a full price of an actual game. Plus, development costs for stuff like this are minimal.

Supply and demand.

Hey it's good if you've never played the original. :D but that may change when I have some more free time and try the original.

Also why did they get rid of the antennas?

They didnt. They are visible while racing.

But what they did do is just copy-paste the original maps. Not even remastered. Literaly the same but now compatible as far as I can tell.
