all cars downloadable?

carcrasher88 US (20)

Good question.

Also, this isn't even the whole car list. Currently, there are 44 cars available to use in iRacing.

iRacing's selection is very diverse, with four classes of cars: NASCAR, Open Wheel, Prototypes, and Sports Cars.

There's also 71 tracks, with new ones being added on a regular basis.

In fact, they're in the process of preparing 3 new tracks for release: Nurburgring, Imola, and Five Flags Speedway, which is a 1/2 mile paved oval in Pensacola, Florida and home of the Snowball Derby.

Why all the cars downloadable

I haven't added all the cars from the game to this page yet - not all cars are downloadable (there are 8 cars that come 'free' with the subscription).

That game despite has 8 years old, adds 2017-present cars noticing that the game and online services are still alive. Not like the majority of other games released 6 or more years ago that those games or/and online servers are dead like Car Town (includes EX version), Speed City, Need For Speed World, Gran Turismo 5 or Ondarun

Just read the rules buddy
Quote 3. Behavior concerning the posting of pictures
d)If you have a picture of the vehicle that could help with identifying but is taken through means that should not be possible in-game, you can post this picture in the comments. Do not post it in one of the views of the vehicle in question.

Quote 4. Behavior regarding the adding of pages (game/vehicle)
b) Do not add a game or vehicle when you have insufficient time to complete said page. If you find out you cannot complete the page after adding it, either delete the page, or post a comment with a valid argument and a time at which you will complete it. (Ex: I have a test tomorrow/My dad pulled the plug on the computer/I am too tired now/Etc. are not valid reasons.)

Number 4 does not apply at all
As for number 3. Why do so many games have promotional pictures used. For one game i even told the admins to replace the promotional picture with my in game picture but it didnít happen, so it seems the rules arenít followed.

You just said that you don't have the resources to complete the page (i.e. afford membership, to me that's like saying you only have the demo of the game but instead of investing in buying it or asking for another member's help, you openly stated you would use promotional pics), which is obviously stated in rule 4.b) at the "if you find out you cannot complete the page after adding it, either delete the page, or post a comment with a valid argument and a time at which you will complete it." part. (though I would advise to ask for help instead of straight on delete it).

By the way, being a moderator do not equal being an admin and do not also mean they wrote these rules, it's mainly the moderators who confirm posted pics as well as suggested pics. I'm not saying that they are doing the wrong thing, I just think they're mostly oblivious of the pic being a promotionnal art.

Imo, I think promotional art is even worse than screenshots from the car selection menu, it's odd, it has weird angles, weird lighting, is probably photoshopped, does not reflect how it looks ingame, and break the list's consistency (just look how messy is the current Rocket League list). It especially rustles my jimmies when someone post a grossly cropped promotional sneak peek that is going to stick forever on a game's list because they couldn't wait for the content to actually be released. And I think us as a community need to stop posting anything that isn't an ingame screenshot on IGCD.

I said i donít own the game but never said i didnít have the resources. Bond007stig also used pictures from the website which were taken in game, i am replacing the promotional pics with in game pics now if thatís good enough.
