I love the fact you can choose your engine size, but i'm a little dissapointed that there is no W140.

Oooh, the first WR...a great game, but when you try WR2, this tastes poor to you, but the good thing is that people converted almost all Mercedes of the game for the WR2, so you won´t miss any cars...

There is an official add-on car named the "Slipstream" which you can download from Synetic's website.

I am sorry but I can swear the [C209¨] and [W211] models are not present in the game, not on Xbox and Gamecube versions. Don't know for PC/PS2

Neither the SLR Mclaren. However the DTM class C- 2002 is missing and the Slipstream (A hidden unlockable muscle car)

How does it compare to Corvette ?
As both are published by TDK, which would probably mean each of those game was designed specifically for its domestic market (?)
Does the other include damage and cockpit views ?

Corvette was made by Steel Monkeys, while World Racing, as you can see, was made by Synetic GmbH. Two different developers so obviously the game is different but as you said, yes, they were mainly made for their own market more than for the entire globe. World Racing has a nice cockpit view. It also has damageable vehicles, no falling parts/pieces but the car body is deformable.
The physics engine of this game is way more enjoyable than Corvette's one, and this game also has a free roam mode to let you explore the big landscapes.

Does this game use Securom for disc-check? 2 uses Starforce because games like CRC 2005 recommend XP SP2.

Why are there only Mercedes cars? Were the developers too lazy to include Chrysler, Nissan, etc in there?

Because it's a Mercedes game.

It's a game focused on one make only, like Porsche Unleashed for example. If you want cars that are not Mercedes-Benz cars, download mods!

That's not a traffic vehicle. That's an unmovable prop.

Location of the City map: I have seen some American flags, so it's in America.
