Thank you guys, we're back on igcd's "argument of the week", just one of many fine shows you see and not hear if you have the patience to read all the comments about some games... (yes, I admit - I listened to VCPR in the last days, even now I'm listen to it).
Seriously - this is very childish now. It was funny at first, but it's going into a direction that I don't like. People got offended. I think the administration should react now.
Maisak should stop to avoid more arguments.

Second time that i talk of it but no one talk of the solution i had said.
Possible solutions:
1 Let it like now (all games)
2 Only some Internet games (but wich criterias?)
3 No internet games (and Car Town or F1 Online also)

Surely some games are almost a joke compared with others. But as i see it, if it something is interactive (playable) and contains at least one car, it should be in.

Maybe, since things give points now, we could make internet games count less, or at least almost all of them (Since Car Town for example have plenty of licensed cars)

What I suggest is, we only accept good and famous internet games like car town. Crap internet flash games, like those games that Maisak keep on posting and these type of stupid flash games should be rejected, for example

Why we can´t post Internet games?

sajmon14 PL (234)

Most of cars in internet games have no resemblance to anything real and it's too much of them, we should concentrate on normal games wich are missing or uncompleted

My thoughts exactly. We need to finish every normal game for every console first, then we can concentrate on new releases and internet games.

I think the second solution would be great. Famous and well-known games are OK, crappy and unknown flash/mobile games should be deleted. I've never heard anything about this "Postman Pat" before I saw it here on the site some weeks ago.

But games like "Car Town" have licensed cars in it, it should be kept like it is now.
Only these stupid flash/mobile games (as you were saying) - there's too much of them with many fantasy cars.

SWF your opinion?

Star Wars Fanatic EN (494)

2012-08-14 23:50

It's a tricky one. Problem is it's all subjective. Technically there's nothing that prevents it from being submitted when the point of the site is to chronicle cars in games no matter how insignificant. It's a bit like some of the retro games that were submitted in the past that had graphics so primitive they barely resembled cars.

J-2 ES (1036)

2012-08-15 00:09

That's the problem. Once you start that process, where do you stop?

As SWF said, it's really subjetive. Also, we list game's cars, not just games, the quality of the game doesn't matter.

That's why i said the idea of making internet games count less for points, it's not fair since some big internet games are just as good as PC ones, and have lots of cars, but the other option is worse in my opinion.

So that's the problem. We have the following options (at least for now) and we have to choose the least bad one.

1-We do nothing (Some people will complain about lame games being added)
2-We score internet games with less points (Some good games just for being internet games will be paying the price)
3-We delete the most lame games (Total mess)
4- ??

sajmon14 PL (234)

I think we shouldn't remove the games that were added before but now guy you just should listed and put this information into your heads, dont upload these games

Phil Leon DE (0)

The problem itself are these games - and some people who don't like them and need one that they can offend. That's not great anymore and should be stopped (I know, we had this a lot of times, but I say it again).
So we should make a poll - or should I say: an admin should make a poll? Anyway, I am interested in the opinion of members who haven't a comment on these games. And there are many members who haven't say anything about this problem.
I have no idea where someone could start a poll, but I think that the admins have an idea about that.
Maybe on the home page where everybody can see it?
That's my suggestion for the moment, anyone agree with me?

What about we do nothing - the more games IGCD has, the better and more complete it is.

subzero SG (207)

2012-08-15 08:26

There are countless of lame internet games around, if those people keep on adding, I would say that it is pointless. Since most of the flash game are cartoon car.

I agree. Dare I say some people should just stop complaining every time a flash game gets added. :p

Maybe - but the side's name is "Internet Games CARS Database" which means that not the game is the important part - the cars are important. If a car in a game doesn't resemble a real counterpart... who needs it then?
And in some games are no cars. What do you do about these games? Of course, you don't add them.

Ford78 PT (13)

IGCD means "Internet Game Car Database". If is it, the internet games must be added then.
