Shutokō Battle Online was an MMORPG game released 2003 which continued by somewhere near 2005, as exclusive to PC :)

I were not enable to find very much information, but more information is located here (aswell as download link).

This is the first sequel in Shutokou Battle series that use the real licensed cars.

I have put that pic as cover... for a reason. This is one of the few pics you can see left from it. And no, this isn't the first sequel, this is just the Online Multiplayer version that went as closed beta in March 2003. I also tried to get something from the site, but the images are long way gone :/

If anyone finds proper cover, your help is very appreciated, thanks! :)

PS
As far I know, the cars were re-used from the PS2 games. I will try to do quick import filter for 3DS MAX for these mmdl files, hope it works :)

is it still playable?

Unfortunately not, I think the servers are even gone. But I think there can be a way to avoid this and get to the game in some kind of 'off-line' mode, but dunno.

If there are any programmers, independant game makers, etc... (and a bit of money, for servers, and all that stuff, of course)
Maybe it's a good idea to re-make this game "alive" as a free-to-play, constantly updated (new cars ?), translated (Japanese is really not my cup of tea...) etc.
Now, we've got the basis. I've downloaded it and it seems to be complete.

I played Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero on PS2 and I really loved, Online, I guess it's pretty cool.

It's a pretty ambitious idea, and I imagine there are a lot of "barriers" that I don't see...But it's an idea...Let us dream. ;)

PS
According to the site site it was also known as Tokyo Xtreme Racer Online and available for PS2 but abandoned so I modified the information for accuracy ;)

There are a lot of screenshots too on the site. Could be useful. ;)

How sad it is that we won't play to this game anymore. I really enjoyed Zero on PS2.

I'll think at my idea, I'm quite sure that something could be done...

As I was child, I always wanted to play to Motor City Online. I grew up, I had internet and the servers shut down too. Murphy's law ?

If someone has some better pics can complete the page ;)
