This is a rather nostalgic game for me, simply because it was my first ever Playstation game :D Back in its day, this was regarded as one of the best racing games ever, until Gran Turismo was released of course. Even so, the game still contained damage and was still an absolute gem despite Gran Turismos existence. The game was soely based upon the British Touring Car Championship, containing no other vehicles as was the trend from Toca 2 onwards. Of course, this is the game that started the whole series, as we are presently receiving the more renowned Toca Race Driver series. Intriguingly however, the Race Driver series has completely strayed from its roots by abandoning the British Touring Cars and not featuring any of its cars :(

Note too that Tiff Needell from Top Gear/Fifth Gear voices for the game.

Even now I prefer ToCA and ToCA 2 (especially 2) than newer versions, classic games.

They are indeed pure classics Weasel, and the ToCA series is one of my favourites, in terms of racing. I would say the Race Driver is more developed than its original counterparts, but the omission of the BTCC almost ruins the experience for me :(

First Race Driver (the one for which I added pictures on IGCD) has cars from BTCC, no?

Weasel1984 >> I also really liked TOCA2 :) But I also like that first Race Driver. Graphics are really good I think, handling is still well made, and damages are nicely made. For that last point I was really disappointed by Race Driver 3 (though that I only tested the demo version).

Yes, that was the last ever installment to carry the BTCC.

Really nostalgic game. Very good for that time, but i like the sequel Toca 2 more than this one.
The bonus cars are very funny. :D
