Given how hot rods in general modify the original car's structure, I think it wouldn't exactly be wrong to label it as a Ford A. Would be a nice clarification IMO. Not required. We list all Hot Wheels models under their Hot Wheels name, not what they may be inspired by. I'm not sure how this would make it a "nice classification" since it would just make things confusing. -- Last edit: 2024-05-17 13:43:14

2024-05-17 13:29 | It's very cartoony so hard to tell, but the overall very boxy shape, the grill and the oval badge make me think of a typical 1980s Ford police cruiser. Perhaps a 1980-1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria?

2024-05-17 13:06 | Silnev wrote Absolutely not. "Stingray" is not part of the model's name. Additionally the "C2" designation is not an official GM designation nor is it the chassis code. None of the corvettes use "C" and a number to denote their chassis. The whole association of using C plus a number to denote what gen of corvette you are talking about came about because when the C5 was in development, internally they called the project the "C5" literally just to mean Corvette 5. However it got leaked and soon people began to retroactively refer to the older gens with the "C" label. Err... how is the 'Sting Ray' denomination not par of the model's name? I searched around and found it came from the name of the 'Mitchell Racer' to which GM bought the rights and used the badge on their 1963 Corvettes. But uh thanks for the insight I guess...

Forza Horizon 2 (2014) | clandohoome photo_librarymode_comment 2024-05-17 10:52 | Solarriors wrote But then point is it's not a remaster/re-HD if the vehicles and even map changes... From my understanding, aren't the vehicle models pretty much the same between both versions of the game? There are a small number of exclusive cars in each version, but the majority are identical. For other games where different versions were given separate pages (eg Alan Wake, Saints Row 3), it was because the vehicles were remodelled and looked different, while if this game was split, you'd have two nearly identical pages. I know that there's significant differences between the two versions in other areas (map, engine), but seeing as this is a car database, that's the only aspect we're really interested in. -- Last edit: 2024-05-17 11:00:34 |

We've had separate game entries for games with much less differences (HD remasters) and same the page with entries that are completely overhauled and gens apart. HD remasters are valid when the old vehicle design was changed and or the method of unlock are different. If the unlock method from the same vehicles are different, or the game feature a different map with different cars and different layouts from the original, are valid to separate. |

2024-05-16 05:03 | My input regarding vehicles that are different between a game's region, version or release. I'd advise as consistency guideline to mark them with only the "DLC" arrow instead of the "unlockable" star (or both if they are unlockable additionally). Until we have a red star/arrow or something. Indeed since these vehicles are not present on "disc" for certain regions, versions or editions, they are technically "extra" content, and not unlockable (in the means of in-game mechanisms). It will really clarify which cars are exclusive for pre-DLC games. -- Last edit: 2024-05-17 05:44:40 |
